The Sierra de Cazorla, Segura and las Villas which is also home to a variety of wildlife including the bearded vulture, also known as the lammergeyer, wild sheep known as mouflons, eagles and wild boar, is the largest protected nature reserve in Spain.
\nConsequently, when the question \u201cWhat is there to do and see there and in Cazorla itself?\u201d is asked, the responses are numerous and varied.
\nWith regard to the surrounding areas of the Campsite – Puente de las Herrerias – and other sectors of the park, there are a myriad of natural routes through all parts which show off the wild beauty of the whole reserve.<\/p>\n

        These are only the beginning, as we have no doubt that what visitors find on their first trip will lure them back time and again to explore this bewitching Sierra further to discover new magical enclaves and routes on every occasion.
        \nAs to towns, cities and local customs in the area, visitors are spoilt for choice.<\/p>\n

        Cazorla – declared a Historical Artistic Site in 1972;<\/p>\n

        Castle of the Yedra which houses the Museum of Popular Customs;<\/p>\n

        Ruins of Santa Mar\u00eda or 16th century Major Church of Santa Mar\u00eda located in the old Convent of the Fathers Mercedarios;<\/p>\n

        Note: the Municipal Information and Tourism Office is also located in the ruins<\/p>\n

        Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Cabeza;<\/p>\n

        La Iruela, with its Templar Castle;<\/p>\n

        Quesada – where you can find:<\/p>\n

        • The Painter Zabaleta\u2019s Museum;<\/li>\n
        • Roman Ruins of Bru\u00f1el and Toya;<\/li>\n
        • Tiscar Sanctuary Ruins and the nearby Cueva del Agua – a cave where there is an impressive waterfall and where it is said that the Virgin Mary of T\u00edscar appeared<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
